Prerequisites

Before you start using GovPayPlan, ensure you have the following requirements in place.

Account Requirements

User Account

You'll need an active GovPayPlan user account. Your agency administrator can create an account for you with the appropriate permissions.

If you don't have an account yet, contact your agency's GovPayPlan administrator.

Permissions

Depending on your role, you may have access to different features:

ViewerView transactions and reports
OperatorProcess payments, issue refunds
ManagerAll operator permissions plus user management
AdministratorFull access to all features and settings

System Requirements

Supported Browsers

GovPayPlan works best with modern web browsers:

  • Google Chrome (latest 2 versions)
  • Mozilla Firefox (latest 2 versions)
  • Apple Safari (latest 2 versions)
  • Microsoft Edge (latest 2 versions)

JavaScript

JavaScript must be enabled in your browser for full functionality.

Screen Resolution

We recommend a minimum screen resolution of 1280x720 for the best experience.

Network Requirements

Firewall Configuration

If your agency uses a firewall, ensure the following domains are accessible:

  • *.govpayplan.com
  • *.stripe.com (for payment processing)

TLS Requirements

GovPayPlan requires TLS 1.2 or higher for all connections.
